What we can promise are tales from those who have been there and failed; insight from those who have never been there at all; practical advice that won't leave you picking spinach from your teeth or holding back bean farts; and camaraderie for the weight-loss challenged.
Lizadeath has been battling genetics and the allure of of sitting on her ass reading, sewing or playing video games, sandwiched between a skinny sister and a beanpole brother for years. Her weight has gone up and down and up and way up and waaaay down and up and down a little and back up, mostly in that order, for at least ten years.
| Lizadeath and an Ipswich Ale |
Sick of before and after stories where life is perfect after dropping n pounds, Lizadeath started Weight Loss Challenged as a story for the rest of us... who want to bid farewell to bulge without any adieu to the finer things in life: sanity, good craft beer, and cake with nasty sweet frosting every so often. (Like, a corner piece. With a rose or something.) Still, Lizadeth secretly longs to one day fit into those size 4 Levis again, only this time without having to give up her car, develop food issues from stress or eat Lean Cuisine for five months to get there.
She wonders why she didn't get the skinny genes, but can't really complain about inheriting huge... tracts of land.
Samantha Georges lifts more weights than Lizadeath and has come a long way to become fitter and healthier on the inside and out, but hasn't found time to write a bio yet.
